Why working on your mind matters

“Why should I work on my mindset?”

I get this question a lot. Does it make sense to invest so much time working on yourself rather than producing for your business?

It took me 3 years to understand that there was no way I was going to up level my business if I didn’t work on my mindset first.

Right before the pandemic hit, I felt that 2020 was the easiest year for my business: clients finally came from recommendations, everything I had worked so hard for years was easier. And yet, I felt my job was boring and repetitive. I felt stuck in a job that wasn’t making me happy any more.

When we had to close our coliving space, I understood that things were going to get really worse unless I did something. I realised that working on my mindset was the only thing left to get my business to the next level. And three months later, I felt like a completely new person.

When you start taking the mindset work seriously, amazing results come your way. You feel more at peace with yourself. You have energy to share your strength with others. You know a bit more who you are as a person.

We all do a huge amount of self-sabotage on a daily basis, but we have the ability to change that. All the negative thoughts are not serving us. So often, we forget to ask an essential question:

“What do I need?”

And when we find the answer, we forget to act on it. But the only way to serve others and the world is to serve ourselves first. To have mercy, compassion and love for ourselves. Self-care is the reason why we work on our mindset.

I invite you to think what is one need you have right now, and make the first step to fulfil it today.
